While I didn’t like TERMINATOR 3 as much as the previous films in the series, I will say that director John Mostow did a pretty good job filling in for James Cameron. Now with rumours of a fourth entry in the series starting up, the question on everyone’s mind was whether Cameron would return to the series that put his name on the Hollywood ‘A’ list of directors.

When UK-based website Times Online conducted an interview with the TITANIC director on the upcoming DVD release of said film November 7th, Cameron was asked about his involvment in the rumoured fourth film. While Cameron did say that he was directing 2 movies back-to-back, neither of them would be TERMINATOR 4.

The next obvious question would be, ‘Is Arnold returning?’ The studio would like Arnold Schwarzenegger to return, however that Governor job is getting in the way. Writer John Brancato has a back-up plan, though it’s not revealed who or what that plan is.

On the flipside of things, Clair Danes, who originally wasn’t going to be returning for another, has signed on for TERMINATOR 4. Danes will reprise her role as Kate Brewster, with John Mostow rumoured to direct.
