Palisades is the king in my book for giving us these kickass 12″ figures of Jason based on almost every entry into the FRIDAY THE 13TH series. They’ve even gone the extra mile and given out exclusives of the figures if you ordered from their website (usually it involves an extras piece and a numbered figure, but still cool).
Skipping over JASON TAKES MANHATTAN (like the majority of us did) and the first film (though there is a Pamela Voorhees figure instead!), Sideshow has now added JASON X to its library, available for purchase 2nd quarter 2006.
Now, this isn’t the cyber-Jason version (you have to ask Todd McFarlane about that), rather it’s the version that offs David Cronenberg. Features include:
- authentic movie likeness with removable mask
- over 30 points of articulation on the new “big boy” 1/6 scale body
- detailed clothing including a tattered straight-jacket
- a bloody machete
- mask w/ leather straps, and neck & wrist restraints with chains
- display stand with Jason X logo
The first 666 fans who order from the Sideshow website will get the Space Machete as the exclusive (I don’t think it was meant as a machete in the film, but oh well..). As for the other figures, you’ll have to hit up Ebay or some other auction site, since the rest of the figures (save for Part 7‘s and FREDDY VS. JASON‘s) are long gone.
