reports that New Line Cinema’s prequel to it’s 2003 remake of has begun filming in Austin, TX this week.
Previously known as THE BEGINNING, the Jonathan Liebesman project was penned by David J. Schow (who also scripted FLIGHTPLAN, and who was originally in the running for Clark Kent in the upcoming SUPERMAN flick). R. Lee Ermey and Andrew Bryniarski return from the previous film to reprise Sheriff Hoyt and Leatherface, respectively. The film opens October 6 next year. We’ll keep you posted on any more news that comes down the pipe, regardless of how stinky it may be.
