Over at Yahoo!, four exclusive clips from the remake of John Carpenter’s underrated ghost story THE FOG have shown up for all to see. While I won’t be quick to judge this flick based on four clips and a trailer, methinks that the original has nothing to fear in terms of being overshadowed by this remake. The original film was set in Northern California, where a thick fog envelops the coastline. The fog is reminiscent of one 100 years before that wrecked a ship and drowned the seamen aboard (heh heh), after which the treasure aboard the ship was ‘liberated’ by inhabitants of Antonio Bay. The ghosts of the crew return to kill anyone who gets in their way of finding their treasure.
