That IS Dark!

I’ve heard some pretty messed up ideas for films in the past, but this one has gotta be close to the top. An indie horror flick titled THREADING OVER DARK starts shooting today, and the concept is just plain cruel. It follows a murderer who picks his victims because they’ve been raped.

I already want some tenacious heroine to castrate the motherf*cker. You can click here for the full synopsis from the Official Site, but it’s not for the faint of heart.

The film’s recent press release indicates this is all based on a true story, which always does a nice job of upping the creep factor. They also promise lots and lots of the wet stuff –

Make up Artist Christa Bella is handling the creation of blood and multiple other bodily fluids and injuries for the gory film. The screenplay calls for nearly 110-gallons of fake blood, ranging in variety from skin-deep shades of red to purple embryonic blood.

Writer/director Greg W. Stechman has already asked that any potential distributors release the flick with an NC-17 rating. Gotta say that sounds like a no brainer.

Of course we’ll keep an eye on this sick puppy and let ya’ll know when there’s more to know. Until then, just kick back and try not to think about the concept for too long because it’s just freakin’ wrong.
