Looks like there’s no stopping the big screen career of one Joss Whedon. His SERENITY is steamrolling towards theaters near you and the high profile WONDER WOMAN is his next project. On top of that, Universal Pictures just paid seven figures for GONER, a fantasy thriller Whedon wrote and will direct.
The dude’s on fire I tell ya!
Apparently GONER will have a supernatural bent and is the story of a young woman’s journey that involves a great deal of horror and some heroics. It’s certainly darker than ‘Serenity,’ and there are a lot of left turns along the way. It is something I had in mind for a while, and it just poured out of me when I finished my film.
Sounds good to me. Perhaps he’ll call upon his old gal Buffy…er, Sarah Michelle Gellar to take the lead once again. That’s purely speculation of course, but also serves as a cheap excuse to post a pic of the blondest of undead ass-kickers.
BTW, anybody ever thought of doing a Buffy/Ash crossover? I’m just spitballing here, but geez that could rock!
