Talk about your sweet paydays. Sony Pictures has ponied up $3 mil for Ken Nolan’s 75-page script-ment of Whitley Strieber’s unpublished novel THE GRAYS. Excuse me for a sec while I go look at my unpaid bills and dream.
OK, I’m back. THE GRAYS is about an alien race who essentially function as the “United States of the cosmos” — running things on Earth as well as on other worlds. Operating in secrecy, the aliens are unwilling to reveal themselves for fear of altering mankind’s development.
Now granted that may not end up containing much horror, but when you consider the author also wrote
THE HUNGER and WOLFEN, I’m willing to get my hopes up.
No word on casting so far, but it will reportedly feature a female lead. Let’s see, who would be a perfect female lead for dealing with an alien race. You’ll find a pic of the obvious answer below.
