It’s been quite awhile since Bernard Rose (CANDYMAN) has made a studio picture. New Line has managed to entice him back into the fold, however, with the very cool sounding concept behind AMUSEMENT.
Written by Jake Wade Wall, the scribe behind THE HITCHER remake, the AMUSEMENT script is told from the points-of-view of three different women who are made to suffer by a killer using their childhood grudge against them.
Nice and twitsted. That’s my style. Meanwhile you can look out for Rose’s SNUFF-MOVIE. It’s a indie about a horror director who jumps the next train to Crazy-land after his wife and unborn baby are killed. You can imagine the chaos that ensues!
All in all some excellent news for a great director who’s taken his sweet time returning to genre work.
