Here’s some cool news from the indie scene. REEKER from writer/director Dave Payne (ADDAMS FAMILY REUNION) has found an international distributor in Cinema Management Group. The flick will receive it’s market debut at the Toronto Film Festival on September 10th.
Always good to see our low-budget bretheren getting a shot! The story is described as:
[F]ive students shar[e] a ride to a party in the desert when they encounter haunting visions of mutilated travelers at an abandoned oasis resort.
Awesome! Then throw in a cast that includes vets Marcia Strassman and Michael Ironside along with Devon Gummersall, Derek Richardson, Arielle Kebbel (who you can introduce yourself to below), and Eric Mabius. How can you not get excited!
Good luck to Payne and company, and if you plan to hit up the Toronto Film Festival, you’re gonna want to put this puppy on your to do list.
