Gotta love Renny Harlin. OK, so you don’t have to, but you really should. I mean the guy makes balls to the wall action stuff about as entertaining as anybody, and now he’s showing he’s got giant brass cajones too!
Despite the, um, let’s call it lukewarm reception to his genre effort EXORCIST: THE BEGINNING, Harlin is jumping right back on the horror horse. And this time nobody’s asking him to patch up somebody else’s quilt.
He’ll take the helm on THE COVENANT for Screen Gems and Lakeshore. Described as a supernatural thriller the flick follows a mysterious stranger at an exclusive prep school.
Cast includes Sebastian Stan, Steven Strait, Toby Hemingway and Chace Crawford; with production beginning in Montreal Oct. 4.
Personally I’m just happy to see Harlin back in the saddle again!
