Variety reports today that THE OMEN will be remade under the updated title THE OMEN 666. Dan McDermott is writing a contemporary take on the original, and helmer John Moore (BEHIND ENEMY LINES) will direct.
I can’t even describe to you the splitting headache I have now. This is one of those classics that I used to joke with people about a remake because it seemed impossible that anyone would be that stupid. Now I’m scared to make light of any remake idea since some studio bean counter just might go, yeah, CASABLANCA would benefit from some CGI.
I’m just thoroughly disgusted right now.
