Boll’s Latest Cast

Got word today that Jason Statham (THE TRANSPORTER) and Leelee Sobieski (man her name is hard on the spell checker) will headline the next project from Uwe Boll – DUNGEON SIEGE. Statham will take the role of Farmer, our hero, while Sobieski fills out the corset of Muriella, daughter of the court sorcerer Merrick.

And yes it’s a video game adaptation.

And yes it’s shooting in Vancouver.

The two will join an already impressive cast that includes – take a deep breath now – Ron Perlman (HELLBOY) as Norick, Farmer’s friend; Matthew Lillard (SCREAM) as Duke Fallow; Burt Reynolds (THE LONGEST YARD) as King Konreid; and Kristanna Loken (BLOODRAYNE) as Elora, an enchanted tree-like creature whose support proves critical to Farmer.

Say what you will about Uwe Boll’s movies so far, but you can’t deny the man knows how to attract talent and puts projects together like nobody’s business.

As to the premise of the game/flick – war, evil guys, hero, olden times, blah, blah, blah. What matters is it will present many opportunities for gory ass-kicking and monster bashing!

Now I’m going to post a pic of Kristanna Loken in protest of casting her as a tree (insert your own wood joke here).
