We’ve been waiting for some time to find out who would topline SILENCE, the sophomore effort of SAW team James Wan and Leigh Whannell. The lucky winners are Ryan Kwanten and Amber Valletta.
According to The Hollywood Reporter: Kwanten will play a man who returns to his hometown in order to unearth clues to his wife’s murder. Valletta plays his father’s trophy wife, who is more sinister than she appears.
Returning to produce the effort are Greg Hoffman, Mark Burg and Oren Koules of Evolution Entertainment through their genre arm Twisted Pictures. The flick is rumored to be far different in tone from SAW, so it’ll be fun to see how these crazy kids work with the focus on head games instead of gory set-ups.
