Exorcist Law Suit

Sometimes you hear about a lawsuit and it’s just hard to know who to root for. For instance, William Blatty, the author of THE EXORCIST, is now suing Morgan’s Creek for failing to pay him an agreed-upon fee for a recent sequel to the franchise.

Basically he is contending that he got his fee for EXORCIST: THE BEGINNING, but claims that DOMINION: A PREQUEL TO THE EXORCIST is a completely different sequel and that he is owed a fee for that as well – to the tune of $750,000.

On the one hand, I admire his creativity. On the other, I just wanna say give me a break. It’s hard to have too much sympathy when millionaires are fighting millionaries. Now if he were a hundredaire like me…well that’d be another story.

One thing’s for sure – somebody in the Marketing Department is getting fired for changing that title.
