Dimension Production Executive Nick Phillips, who will be familiar to fans of this season’s PROJECT GREENLIGHT, sat down for a nice interview with Moviehole.net. He dropped lots of info on lots of stuff, so let’s get to it.
On Matt Damon’s assertion that PG has become too commercial:
I don’t agree. With all due respect, I don’t even know what that argument means. Am I to assume that there are some for which the idea of Greenlight is to go in wanting to make bland movies that have no chance of reaching an audience nor making the money back for those generous enough to take a chance and provide the budget?
On Robert Englund’s assertion that he’d like to see Michael Myers in the next FREDDY VS. JASON:
Well, we tried to get a ‘Hellraiser Vs. Halloween’ movie off the ground in 2003, but it ended up not happening. Aside from that, we haven’t really given any serious thought to combining Michael with another franchise.
More about HALLOWEEN 9:
I seem to read a new rumor every week about H9, none of which are accurate. Unless you hear it from Malek or myself, it’s just not true. But stay tuned, we’ll have some news soon!
He also mentions Kari Wurher for some reason or another, but which I shall mention for obvious reasons.
