Nothing like having a nice, solid ghost story that tanks because you just happened to pick the year that saw the release of one of the best ghost stories of all time. Unfortunately that’s what happened to STIR OF ECHOES when in came out in the same timeframe as the superior THE SIXTH SENSE.
Nevertheless, STIR OF ECHOES was a great creepy ride with a fantastic lead performance from the always reliable Kevin Bacon. So typically I’d be psyched to hear that a sequel is in the works. It could bring some well deserved attention to a cool movie and maybe get it some of the profitability that it missed out on.
Problem is, it’s hard to imagine how a sequel makes sense after the first one. At least a sequel that has anything to do with why the original worked so well. But then our buds over at Bloody-Disgusting.com got some word on the script from writer Adam Green who shared what sounds like a promising concept.
