Harbinger Comes

So a new genre production group has been born and that’s always good news! Harbinger Pictures has announced that they will launch in a big way with plans to complete three genre pics in the coming year.

Their focus will be on re-imagining and re-creation of classic and international feature films. At least they’re honest about it. Kind of a Platinum Dunes for the B-movie set.

First project up for them will be HOUSE ON SORORITY ROW, a mediocre 80’s slasher for sure, but check out the image at the bottom and tell me you don’t want to see it anyway. Initial financing for that pic has already been secured, so look for more info here as it becomes available.

They also seem to be big fans of Mario Bava and have plans to re-make an as yet undecided flick of his. More word on that when we get it.

And let’s give them props for also stating that they plan to pursue original projects as well, which is exactly what I have been saying remakes are good for – making enough money to go make a fresh, interesting, NEW genre flick.

Good luck guys!
