Sometimes you do a little project for the love of the genre, and karma smiles upon you with good fortune. Some of you may have had a chance to check out THE NIGHTMARE ENDS ON HALLOWEEN last year and enjoyed the fan project pitting Freddy Krueger against Michael Myers. For a budget of $300, they got a lot of bang for their buck. I wouldn’t go so far as to call it great, but it was certainly entertaining with a clever ending.
Now at the center of this little short that could‘s success is Richard Myers as Freddy. Apparently his 8 hour drive from NC to NJ to do the gig was worth it, because we hear from him that he’s been cast as The Killer in two upcoming features called COWBOY and TAGERT’S AUTOMOTIVE. No word on budget, other cast, or plot specifics, but congrats to the guy for turning a little something into a bigger something.
