Watch Deader Trailer

So I was watching DAGON on DVD last night, in which a great tentacled water beast has its way with not one, but two women. So of course that got me to thinking about what would happen if two horror franchises had a baby. Not a step child, which is what I’d consider FREDDY VS. JASON to be, but an actual blending of two distinct wholes into a new entity.

All that is to say that the trailer for HELLRAISER: DEADER very much looks like the butt ugly offspring of Pinhead and Samara. That’s right kids, HELLRAISER and THE RING just might have had some sweaty fumblings in the backseat of their parents car. But don’t take my word for it…check the bastard out here.

Now the idea of these two concepts together might sound intriguing to you, but I gotta say, in this case it looks more like when two models get together and pop out a gawky kid. I will see every HELLRAISER movie that ever comes out because I love the franchise. But without Clive Barker’s insane creativity behind the goings on, it’s slowly become nothing more than a graphic peepshow featuring nonsensical (and as often as not irritating) headtrips. Oh how the mighty has fallen!

At least Kari Wuhrer’s in it.
