Angels Get Furioso

Philip Eisner, the writer who brought us the twisted trip to hell in space called EVENT HORIZON, has sold his latest opus FURIOUS ANGELS. The script was picked up in a pre-emptive bid by Paramount based Scott Rudin Productions.

No details are available on the project yet, except for a description of it as a family melodrama-supernatural thriller. Sounds like a very odd combo to me, but hey, out of such things greatness can sometimes be made.

My hope is that this time Eisner manages to tell a story that knows where it’s going. EVENT HORIZON is one of my favorite genre flicks, but even still, the ending felt like nobody knew where all the cool set up was supposed to go, or what it all meant.

It was frustrating, yet still oh so good.
