Tara talks horror

Tara Reid, whether shitfaced drunk in public, boobs flopping out at parties, or… oh yeah, that thing she does for money-acting -she’s always super smokin’ hot, and has a smile that just won’t quit (they might be slurred and drunk, but smiles none the less!).

Top it all off, she’s one of the queens of modern day horror, with URBAN LEGENDS, DEVIL’S POND, RETURN TO SALEM’S LOT and the upcoming ALONE IN THE DARK and THE CROW: WICKED PRAYER, she’s proven herself as having a love for the genre (and having a set of…lungs…to do all that screamin’).

She recently sat down with Pretty Scary to talk about ALONE IN THE DARK, as well as horror movies in general. Here’s just a snippet of what she had to say:

“Horror films- that’s where I got my start! I definitely like doing horror films because they bring out so many strong emotions in people. Even just watching them, they make you feel so much more intensity than other types of films. As an actress I really get to show another side of myself that I usually don’t. Like in Devil’s Pond, I got to look deep inside and really bring out some strong emotions. I love that about horror films, and psychological thrillers.”

And about working with Uwe Boll:

“I had no idea that HOUSE OF THE DEAD was so unpopular among some of the fans. And honestly, I really enjoyed working with Boll. We started filming before HOUSE OF THE DEAD actually came out, so I didn’t even know how audiences were reacting to it. I didn’t think it was bad. I think Uwe is really ambitious, and it’s really cool to work with him because he doesn’t cop out on anything. Every shot is important; every scene is a big scene and a big deal. He doesn’t settle for anything small, everything is on a large scale with him. He’s a perfectionist, sort of.”

Who knew Tara loved horror as much as the rest of us? Sure, she actually thought that steaming pile of donkey shit known as HOUSE OF THE DEAD wasn’t a bad movie (Tara, come on!), but we’re all entitled to our opinions, and we all love a shitty movie or two out there that nobody else likes (ever see DRIVEN? I own it…).
