Raimi back for four?

The horror world went ape shit a few weeks ago when Sam Raimi announced of the remake of THE EVIL DEAD. That decision put a stop to the possibility of FREDDY VS JASON VS ASH that some people thought might happen… but apparently, it didn’t put a hold on the idea of THE EVIL DEAD 4.

Sam Raimi told Zap2it “I definitely want to do it and I think after — whenever the Spider-Man jobs end — I would love to dig in on that,” Raimi says. “That’s something I’m really looking forward to.”

Wow. So maybe all those harsh words I had for Raimi a few weeks back were a little premature. First, remake THE EVIL DEAD, and gain a whole new fan base, then, come out with THE EVIL DEAD 4, pleasing all the old fans- as well as all the new ones.

Hmmmm. It definately is some exciting news. Sam Raimi’s latest venture, as producer for THE GRUDGE, hits DVD stands everywhere February 1st.
