I came across a little independent film that just started pre-production through Road Rambler Films entitled DEVOUR- and the story for this one sounds pretty damn good. Written by John D. Robinson and directed by Drew Pearlman, DEVOUR is about 3 of the most popular kids in school- you know, the ones that appear perfect in every way, and all you want to do is be exactly like them (or at least you wish you were bangin’ a couple of ‘em). Only there’s something seriously f*cked up about these kids- they’re cannibals! You want to be like them, and they want to eat your face off! Think MEAN GIRLS meets RAVENOUS meets BLOODSUCKING FREAKS. So that’s how they get their skin to glow like that!
We really haven’t had a good cannibal movie to feast on in some time, and this project definitely sounds promising. The whole good-kids-with-bad-secrets story is kind of cool, since we all know something ain’t right with those who appear to be ‘perfect’.
