Real life Exorcism

reported today that 3 more actors were just cast in the Scott Derrickson (URBAN LEGENDS: FINAL CUT) horror flick, formally known as THE EXORCISM OF ANNELIESE MICHEL. Campbell Scott, Shohreh Aghdashloo and Jennifer Carpenter join the team, based upon the true events of the demonic possession and failed exorcism of an 18 year old college hottie. By failed, meaning instead of walking away like Linda Blair, she was carried away in a body bag. If there was any question whether she survives this one, it just went out the window- but I guess the real story revolves around the priest who did the attempted exorcism as he’s put on trial for her murder. Written by Derrickson and Paul Harris Boardman (the same team who brought us crappy classics FINAL CUT, as well as HELLRAISER: INFERNO), the film will explore the story through multiple points of view- in attempts to figure out what happened. This is the second film as of late that has to do with real life hauntings and exorcisms (the other being AN AMERICAN HAUNTING), let’s just hope they decide to release them a couple months apart. Filming starts in Vancouver this November…
