Blumhouse is producing eight films for the Epix premium cable outlet, and the first entry in this series was Don’t Tell a Soul writer/director Alex McAulay’s A House on the Bayou. While we originally heard that A House on the Bayou would be premiering on Epix this month, it actually started streaming in November – but if you haven’t watched it yet, we’ve gotten our hands on a clip that might entice you to check it out. This clip can be seen in the embed above and features Angela Sarafyan (Westworld) and Lia McHugh (Eternals) playing out a scene beside a burning car.

The clip is followed by the film’s trailer.

A House on the Bayou follows

a troubled couple and their teenage daughter, who take a vacation to an isolated house in the Louisiana bayou to reconnect as a family. When unexpected visitors arrive, their facade of family unity starts to unravel, as terrifying secrets come to light.

The family consists of Sarafyan, Paul Schneider (Parks and Recreation) as her character’s husband, and McHugh as their daughter. They are joined in the cast by Jacob Lofland (12 Mighty Orphans), Doug Van Liew (Camp Cold Brook), and Lauren Richards (the Creepshow series).

A watched and enjoyed (for the most part) the twenty-four movies Blumhouse made for the Hulu series Into the Dark, so I intend to watch all of the movies they’re making for Epix as well… and the eight movies they’ve made for the Amazon series Welcome to the Blumhouse.

Future entries in this Epix series include American Refugee, Unhuman, Tattered Hearts, The Visitor, and There’s Something Wrong with the Children. Sounds like a pretty good line-up to me.
