Even just five years ago, I couldn’t have imagined that Moon Knight would be coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but here we are. Marvel’s latest MCU series for Disney+ will debut next month and Empire Magazine has given us the best look yet at Oscar Isaac as Steven Grant/Marc Spector/Moon Knight.

I know there’s been some criticisms of the costume, but the mummy-inspired wrapping, flowing cape, and crescent weapons — I love it. Oscar Isaac has previously said that the shoot was the most challenging of his career. “Speaking with Kevin [Feige], I told him I’m going to come in with these big ideas, and if you don’t like them, that’s fair,” Oscar Isaac said. “And immediately, we saw it all. I found so much room to do things that I’ve never done before and had been curious about and wanting to do. I could not wait to get to set, and it was the biggest workload I’ve ever had in my career and most challenging; by the sheer amount of stuff we had to do in eight months, and even yet, I couldn’t wait to get to set and work.” In addition to Oscar Isaac, Moon Knight also stars Ethan Hawke, Lucy Thackeray, May Calamawy, and the late Gaspard Ulliel. What are your thoughts on the Moon Knight costume?

The official synopsis for Moon Knight:

The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.

Moon Knight will debut on Disney+ on March 30, 2022.
