The Boys Presents: Diabolical interview: EP Simon Racioppa on the ultra-violent animated anthology

Now that The Boys Presents: Diabolical is streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime Video, fans of the subversive superhero universe created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson can witness many of their favorite antiheroes as part of an ultra-violent animated anthology. Last week we had the pleasure of speaking with the anthology’s executive producer Simon Racioppa, who opened up to us about Diabolical‘s collaborative genius.

Among those working on the series are Seth Rogen, Awkwafina, Andy Samberg, Justin Roiland, Kevin Smith, Anthony Starr, Kumail Nanjiani, Giancarlo Esposito, and Elliot Glazer, among others.

In addition to his executive producer role, Racioppa is also the showrunner and a contributing writer for Diabolical. During our talk, we delve into the details of Racioppa’s Homelander-centric episode, his approach to exploring the dark underbelly of superherodom, how the Diabolical creative team came together, and more!

The Boys Presents: Diabolical is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The animated anthology is as outrageous, daring, and disgusting as you’d imagine. Don’t bother bringing a poncho because not even A-Train can outrun this splash zone.
