The free streaming platform Tubi has managed to pull off quite an impressive feat: they got a remake of the 1980 slasher cult classic Terror Train through production without anyone noticing! Tubi’s Terror Train remake was completely shrouded in secrecy until the moment they decided to drop a teaser trailer online. That trailer can now be seen in the embed above, and it ends with the promise that the new take on Terror Train will be available to watch on Tubi this October.

Directed by Philippe Gagnon (Amber Alert) from a screenplay by Ian Carpenter and Aaron Martin (Slasher), the Terror Train remake has the following synopsis:

In this contemporary reimagining, eerie excitement is in the air as Alana and a group of college seniors board a party train for a Halloween-themed bash, but their fun spirals into fear as attendees are killed off one by one by an unknown killer. Concealed by costumes and plagued with chaos, everyone is a suspect. As the party train continues full steam ahead, Alana must race against the rails to find the killer before she becomes the next victim.

Robyn Alomar (Utopia Falls) and Tim Rozon (Schitt’s Creek) star.

Adam Lewinson, the Chief Content Officer at Tubi, had this to say about the project:

We can’t wait for viewers to take a ride on the Terror Train, the tentpole for our annual ‘Terror on Tubi’ event in October. With an incredibly talented team of filmmakers and star-making performances, this movie continues to cement Tubi as a key destination for horror fans.”

Directed by Roger Spottiswoode and written by T. Y. Drake, the original Terror Train starred Jamie Lee Curtis, Ben Johnson, Hart Bochner, Derek MacKinnon, Vanity, and David Copperfield.
