The Mosquito Coast trailer: Justin Theroux takes his family on the run

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Paul Theroux's best-selling novel The Mosquito Coast was previously adapted into a feature-film starring Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren, and River Phoenix in 1986, and now the story will be heading to the small-screen in the form of a new series for Apple TV+.

This new take on the novel stars Justin Theroux as a brilliant rebel who takes his wife (Melissa George) and their children (Logan Polish & Gabriel Bateman) on the run in order to protect them but ends up exposing them to more danger than ever. At every turn of their adventure, they encounter increasing threats and intensifying moral choice from which there's no turning back. If you weren't aware, series star Justin Theroux is actually Paul Theroux's nephew, so there you are. The Mosquito Coast series was created by Neil Cross (Luther) and directed by Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes).

The Mosquito Coast will debut on Apple TV+ on April 30th.
