Sam Worthington is a man falsely accused of killing his son. Then, one fateful day in prison, he finds out that his boy may still be alive. Now the race is on to prove his innocence and save his child. Netflix has just released a teaser trailer for I Will Find You. Based on Harlan Coben’s best-selling novel, published in 2023, Netflix’s I Will Find You is an eight-episode series and the first of Harlan’s projects under his exclusive deal with the streamer.
Worthington plays David Burroughs, who is “an innocent father serving a life sentence for the murder of his own son — a crime he didn’t commit, yet a tragedy he punishes himself for every day. When David receives evidence that his child may still be alive, he must break out of prison to find out the truth.” He is joined in the cast by Britt Lower, Milo Ventimiglia, Logan Browning, Erin Richards, Chi McBride and Jonathan Tucker. Guest stars are also set to include Hugh Thompson, Peter Outerbridge, Christopher Redman, Eric Johnson, Greg Bryk, Kate Vernon, Tara Rosling, Darrin Baker, Aaron Ashmore, Nicola Correia-Damude, Rachel Wilson, Billy MacLellan, Clancy Brown and Madeleine Stowe.
The writers on the limited series include Robert Hull, Bryan Wynbrandt, Steven Lilien and Heather Mitchell. And the episodes are directed by Brad Anderson, Maja Vrvilo, Adam Davidson and Maggie Kelly. Harlan Coben is on board as executive producer through his company, Final Twist Productions, for the limited series. Robert Hull co-created the show and is serving as executive producer and showrunner. Bryan Wynbrandt, Steven Lilien and John Weber are the executive producers on board. Meanwhile, Desmond Paes and Zoe Cheng are serving as producers on the series.
Hull tells Netflix Tudum, “The cast we’ve assembled is nothing short of phenomenal. Any one of these incredible artists would be a dream on their own. The fact we’ve somehow drawn them all in is a testament to the power of Harlan’s storytelling and the incredible support of everyone at Netflix. I cannot wait to watch them bring these roles to life.”
While the series falls under Coben’s new deal, it’s not the first time his material appears on Netflix. Previously, adaptations of Coben’s include Fool Me Once, Stay Close, The Stranger, The Innocent, Gone for Good, Hold Tight, The Woods, and the latest addition, Missing You.
I Will Find You streams on Netflix on June 18.
