Netflix’s A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder will end with an abbreviated Season 3

A cancellation is afoot! Unfortunately, for fans of Netflix‘s adaptation of Holly Jackson’s A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder novel series, the series starring Emma Myers (Wednesday, A Minecraft Movie) is ending with its third and final season, which focuses on the book As Good As Dead.

How long is the final season?

According to reports, a four-episode third season has already wrapped production, with plans to release the finale in 2027. Well, except for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, where it will be available exclusively on ZDFneo; Australia, where it will be available exclusively on Stan; and New Zealand, where it will be available exclusively on Sky NZ. The series will premiere exclusively on BBC iPlayer, BBC One, and BBC Three in the UK.

Jackson and Myers on the series coming to an end

“I am ecstatic that we are able to bring A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder to its (bloody) conclusion,” writer and executive producer Holly Jackson said. As Good As Dead is my favourite of the book series and it’s by far my favourite season of the show too. You’ll see Pip as you’ve never seen her before. It’s dark, breathless, horrible and… somehow still manages to be funny. Come on back to Little Kilton for the final time…if you dare.”

The final, four-episode season stars Emma Myers as Pippa “Pip” Fitz-Amobi, Zain Iqbal, Henry Ashton, Asha Banks, Jude Morgan-Collie, Eden H Davies, and Yali Topol Margalith, reprising their roles (see our interview with Yali for the anti-romantic comedy Alice and Steve here).

“I’m very happy that we get to bring everyone season 3 of A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder,” Myers said. “Thank you so much to everyone who has given this show love and support throughout! This has truly been an incredible experience and Pip will be a character I will never forget. Book 3 is my favorite of all the books, so I’m very excited to show everyone what we’ve done. Get ready for a crazy time!”

I’ve not seen Netflix’s A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder because I’m still sitting on a pile of Jackson’s books. My TBR list is a mile long, with the A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder novels somewhere near the middle. I want to read the books before I watch the series, and with the show coming to an end, I’ll likely get my wish. Are you disappointed that A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is ending?
