Criterion finally announces details for the 4K UHD and Blu-ray releases of KPop Demon Hunters

Whether you’re obsessed with the chart-topping girl group HUNTR/X, or a Saja Boys stan, you’ll be thrilled to know that Netflix’s Academy Award–winning animated sensation, KPop Demon Hunters (read our review here), is finally getting a physical release! The upcoming presentation of the animated film that took the world by storm, directed by Chris Applehans and Maggie Kang, arrives courtesy of Criterion, which is rolling out a glittery red carpet for the occasion with gorgeous packaging, crisp 4K quality, and plenty of bonus features to give fans the ultimate KPop Demon Hunters experience.

Saja Boys, Beware: The Demons Are Going 4K

In KPop Demon Hunters, Rumi, Mira, and Zoey have been busy juggling the pressures of stardom with their secret duty to shield their fans from supernatural forces. When their demon enemies suddenly take the form of a rival boy band, the trio must overcome their deepest self-doubts and use their music to protect humanity. Richly layered with references to Korean culture, both ancient and modern, this generation-bridging phenomenon has inspired millions of fans with its message of friendship and self-acceptance.

Criterion is pulling out all the stops for this anticipated release! I’m drooling over the cover art by Ami Thompson and can’t wait to check out the new making-of documentary. KPop Demon Hunters was my favorite animated film of 2025, and there’s no way I’m letting the opportunity to own a physical copy of this movie pass me by. While I don’t pick up physical media as often as I used to, I’m gladly making an exception for a release this stacked. There’s no way I’m letting a 4K copy of this groundbreaking musical pass me by.

Criterion will release its KPop Demon Hunters collection on November 3, 2026.
