Lance Oppenheim is giving audiences two of this year’s most intriguing films. Most people have already been under the spell of the fascinating trailer for You Can See Everything. The documentary he co-directs with Nathan Fielder looks to be wildly twisted. And this past weekend, audiences were told to “take a seat” with Robert Pattinson as Chris Hanson. Primetime tells the story of the team behind To Catch a Predator, and it was provocative and unsettling (read our review here).
Robert Pattinson has been impressing audiences for a while. The actor has become one of my current favorites. He has captured the attention of filmmakers willing to take a chance. And it has proven to be quite beneficial for the actor. The Batman, The Drama, The Odyssey, and Mickey 17 are just a handful of the talent he offers. And he nails it as Hansen.
Recently, I sat down with Skyler Gisondo and Merritt Weaver to discuss the new film. The two actors spoke about the kind of research that went into telling this story. And considering Gisondo tends to portray young characters, I brought up his upcoming adventure as Jimmy Olsen in The People v. Gorilla Good.
And finally, we spoke with the filmmaker himself, Lance Oppenheim. It was more than a little nice that he gave our very own JoBlo such high praise. It is especially true considering the work this talented man his bringing us. Lance discussed working with Robert and telling this compelling tale. It was a pleasure speaking to all three.
