Scream Factory assembles bonus features for Terror in the Aisles Blu-ray

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Director Andrew J. Kuehn's 1984 clip compilation TERROR IN THE AISLES is one of the most popular horror documentaries ever made. It had a decent theatrical run during the '84 Halloween season and seems to have been easy for genre fans of the time to find on the shelves of their local video stores. I know I rented the movie a time or two in the early days of my horror fandom. Universal previously included the film as a bonus feature on a Blu-ray release of HALLOWEEN II, and now Scream Factory is giving TERROR IN THE AISLES its own standalone release.

The TERROR IN THE AISLES Blu-ray has a release date of October 13th and can be pre-ordered HERE.

Scream Factory has announced that the Blu-ray will include the following bonus features:

– NEW Scene Stealer – An Interview With Actress Nancy Allen

– NEW Dancing With Masters – An Interview With Composer John Beal

– NEW Master Class – An Interview With Editor Greg McClatchy

– NEW Audio Commentary With Pop Culture Historian Russell Dyball

– Rare Television Cut Featuring Alternate Footage And Films (95 Minutes – In Standard Definition)

– Original Theatrical Trailer & TV Spot

– Additional TV Spots And Teaser Trailers For Films Featured In Terror In The Aisles

In case you're not familiar with TERROR IN THE AISLES, this documentary is hosted by Donald Pleasence and Nancy Allen, and it takes viewers on a

blood-curdling journey through a collection of horror classics like Psycho, Jaws, Poltergeist, Alien, The Bride Of Frankenstein, The Exorcist and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. It also features many thrillers released on Blu-ray recently under the Scream Factory brand including The Fog, The Thing, The Omen, Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978), The Howling, Cat People, Carrie, Bug, Vice Squad and The Seduction.”

Between the theatrical and TV versions of the documentary, around 80 movies are covered, the oldest being 1935's BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN and the most recent being the 1984 Stephen King adaptation FIRESTARTER.
