A Bruce Lee biopic is on the way with the Lee family’s involvement

Despite only living to the age of 32, Bruce Lee did more with his years than most do with double the time, and left a hell of a legacy behind. His early 70s films are still watched and treasured to this day, so I'm almost surprised that we haven't seen more films on the man. That's going to change, as Bruce Lee Enterprises (and in turn, the Lee family) will be working with filmmakers to bring a more thorough biopic (Sorry DRAGON: THE BRUCE LEE STORY) our way.

Daughter of Bruce Lee, Shannon Lee, had this to say:

There have been projects out there involving my father, but they’ve lacked a complete understanding of his philosophies and artistry. They haven’t captured the essence of his beliefs in martial arts or storytelling. The only way to get audiences to understand the depth and uniqueness of my father is to generate our own material and find amazing, like-minded partners to work with.

Bruce Lee's films were a little before my time, but I'm still amazed at the talent on display. That was in a time when digital trickery (professional term) was a little harder to come by. Since I'm not too familiar with his life outside of DRAGON, I'd definitely be curious to see what they bring to a new film, and most importantly, who they cast as the man!
