A car crash triggers a mystery in Adam Hamdy’s Anomaly

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

UK filmmaker Adam Hamdy is embarking on a sci-fi thriller called ANOMALY, reports Screen Daily. Hamdy will write and direct, as well as executive producing with Syndicate Works principal Pat Nelson.

Anomaly centres on Tom Richards, a young man who wakes up in hospital after a car accident and sets out to discover the truth about what really happened to him.

Alexander Content principal Rick Alexander and UK-based producer Phil Bland will produce.

Alexander stated:

“With Anomaly, Adam has created a suspenseful, contained thriller wrapped around a grounded sci-fi concept that organically sets up a scalable, ongoing franchise. I couldn’t be more excited to be going on this ride with him.”

As we know so little about the plot, it’s hard to tell how the concept is “franchise” ready, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Casting is set to begin shortly with principal photography scheduled to begin in September 2013.
