The horror genre found a lot of success on the small screen last year, and now that 2014 is here it's time to start looking ahead at all of the the dark and terrifying things to come! One of the shows that proved to be a hit was A&E's "Bates Motel", and it is now gearing up for its premiere on March 3rd.

Some new imagery for the show is starting to trickle in as we get our first look at one of the new cast members, Michael Vartan, who shows up a few episodes into the second season. And then we have another still featuring Norma and her son Dylan who is played by Max Thieriot. Go ahead, take a look!

A modern re-imagining and prequel to the movie Psycho (1960), this story begins with the earlier years of a teenage Norman Bates and his mother Norma who live in an old house overlooking the adjoining motel which they are renovating. The house and hotel both come with secrets of their own as does the new town which the Bates’ now call home.

"Bates Motel" will premiere on A&E on March 3rd of 2014. Joining Freddie Highmore, Vera Farmiga, Thieriot, and other regulars Olivia Cooke, Nicola Peltz, and Nestor Carbonell in Season 2 are newcomers Kathleen Robertson, Rebecca Creskoff, Kenny Johnson, Paloma Kwiatkowski, and Michael Vartan.
