With the most important role just recently filled by the gorgeous Zoe Saldana (below), NBC has started casting the other key roles for their upcoming "Rosemary's Baby" mini-series. According to Deadline, both Patrick J. Adams, who is set as the male lead, and Jason Isaacs (above) will star in the mini-series. Isaacs will play warlock/coven-leader Roman Castevet, a role played by Sidney Blackmer in Roman Polanski’s 1968 feature adaptation, in which Guy was played by John Cassavetes.

Saldana will play Rosemary, the iconic young wife and would-be mother who, with her husband, moves into a Paris apartment that has a darkly storied past. After finally getting pregnant, she becomes increasingly suspicious that both her husband and their mysterious neighbors have ulterior motives about the future of her child.

This version of the story will revolve around a young married couple who move into a Paris apartment that has a haunted past. After getting pregnant, the wife becomes increasingly suspicious that both her husband and their neighbors will have ulterior motives when her child is born.

NBC announced the “Rosemary’s Baby” mini in December, with Lionsgate TV attached to produce. The project is based on Ira Levin’s 1967 horror novel and is being penned by Scott Abbott and James Wong. Agnieska Holland will direct.
