Talk about a loooong time coming! We’ve been writing about Darren Ward’s A DAY OF VIOLENCE since sonofabitchin’ 2007. Now, five years later, the flick can finally show itself off to the bloodthirsty public…

Screen Daily reports that the British gangster flick has been picked up by MVD for North American distribution, while Illusions Unlimited will unleash it in German-speaking Europe. The US release is planned for AUGUST 21st, while German-speaking Europe will get it in October.

The synopsis for A DAY OF VIOLENCE: A dark and haunted past hangs over Mitchell Parkers head, and one that will ultimately lead him on a journey of murder, redemption and sacrifice. Hunted by a ruthless gang for the money he has stolen, Mitchell must evade capture and rid himself of his demons once and for all.
