Emma Myers, who plays Wednesday Addams’ werewolf roommate Enid Sinclair on the Netflix series Wednesday, has signed on to star in the BBC series adaptation of the Holly Jackson novel A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder (pick up a copy HERE). Myers is taking on the role of Pip Fitz-Amobi. Smart and single minded, she isn’t sure about whether, five years ago, schoolgirl Andie Bell was murdered by her boyfriend Sal Singh. But if Sal Singh isn’t a murderer and the real killer is still out there, how far will they go to keep Pip from the truth?

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder was the first in a series of three novels. The other two books in the series are Good Girl, Bad Blood and As Good as Dead.

Dolly Wells, who is primarily known for her acting roles, will be directing the A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series. Wells made her directing debut with the 2019 film Good Posture. Red Rose‘s Poppy Cogan is the lead writer on the show and has written the episode scripts with Zia Ahmed, Ajoke Ibironke and Ruby Thomas.

Myers is being joined in the cast by newcomer Zain Iqbal, who will be playing the character Ravi.

Fiona Campbell of BBC iPlayer and BBC Three provided Deadline with the following statement: “From the moment we announced that A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder was coming to the BBC I know there’s been a huge amount of speculation from fans about who will play Pip and Ravi. In Emma and Zain we’ve found two actors who embody the characters so perfectly it will feel as though they’ve stepped straight from the pages of Holly’s books on to our screens. I can’t wait for BBC Three viewers to see them in action.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder will be filming in England later this year. The series is coming our way from Moonage Pictures and producer Florence Walker. Jackson, Wells, and Cogan serve as executive producers alongside Moonage Pictures’ Matthew Read, Matthew Bouch, and Frith Tiplady, as well as the BBC’s Lucy Richer and Danielle Scott-Haughton. BBC Studios will be handling international distribution.
