Some of the scariest horror movies rely mostly on atmosphere and tension, not on over-the-top scares and gore. The upcoming horror/thriller A QUIET PLACE is all about the suspense of silence as it focuses on a family that must remain totally silent or risk the wrath of dangerous creatures that are attracted to sound. Such a gripping and unsettling premise allows for a lot of creativity in constructing the horror, and in the new featurette/teaser (below) for the movie director/star John Krasinski digs into what makes this such a haunting experience.
