Two years ago, F. Gary Gray's NWA biopic STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON was a box office hit, making over $200 million on a $28 million budget. Even bigger than its monetary success was the impact it made on social media, where everyone was making their own meme variations on the title.

Finding inspiration in all this was director Hank Braxtan, who teamed with writer Tim Johnson to craft a film titled SNAKE OUTTA COMPTON.

The synopsis for SNAKE OUTTA COMPTON is what you would expect:

A young rap group suddenly finds themselves up against a giant, mutated snake that threatens to destroy their search for stardom! Aided by two corrupt cops, a crazed gangster, and a mad scientist, the band has one thing to do before getting the record deal they need; get that motherf**kin’ Snake Outta Compton! Prepare yourself for dope ass beats, unfriendly fire, and the biggest, nastiest snake you’ve ever seen in this outrageous satire of creature features, urban gangster films, and hip hop culture.

Ricky Flowers Jr., Motown Maurice, Donte Essien, Tarkan Dospil, Aurelia Michael, Joston Theney, Jon Kondelik, Arielle Brachfeld and, Eric Erickson star. Kondelik also produced the movie with James Kondelik and Braxtan.

Production has wrapped, and while we wait to see a trailer and to hear distribution details, the poster has been released online, with the folks over at Screen Anarchy getting the first look. That poster can now be seen below, and there's one thing I didn't expect when I heard this title and concept – the snake itself looks goofy as hell. I hope it is treated as a deadly serious threat while sporting that dopey look on its face, that would be great.

We'll keep you updated as more information comes out on SNAKE OUTTA COMPTON.
