Here’s an intriguing and mysterious new project: CHRONICLE BEYOND THE BORDER is a Spanish-language project on the verge of going into production, with Brazilian music video director Andre Cruz Shirawa at the helm. CHRONICLE will be the first feature by a newly formed genre company that’s focusing on sci-fi and fantasy content.
According to Variety,
“Chronicle” follows a woman, Hannah, as she flees with her 9-year-old son from a disaster that has devastated their country. They are eventually interned in a refugee camp guarded by soldiers and security cameras that holds a sinister surprise.
The film will be produced by the newly founded Cine de Garaje, which was created in part by Luis de la Madrid, a longtime editor who has worked on such flicks as THE DEVIL’S BACKBONE and THE MACHINIST. Escandalo Films will co-produce.
