A Serbian Film gets a U.S. red-band trailer and official site

I don’t have to run through the controversies that have followed A SERBIAN FILM since its world premiere at last year’s South by Southwest Film Festival. If you don’t know about the picture’s hideous content or the passionate, sometimes enraged, opinions it inspires, then you must not visit this site – or any other movie site – very often. But for those of you who have been waiting anxiously to finally witness it, your time’s just about to come.

As we wrote a month ago, A SERBIAN FILM is about to come to the U.S., and to “celebrate” its arrival, a new red-band trailers has been unleashed, as well as an official site. Yes, this movie has had more red-band trailer than any other I can think of, but this one is a little less red-band than the ones we’ve seen before it (perhaps they assume we stuffy Americans can’t handle it?). Still, it’s a dizzying, unnerving preview, one that only hints at the chaos and horror that ensues in the actual film.

The synopsis: An aging porn star agrees to participate in an “art film” in order to make a clean break from the business, only to discover that he has been drafted into making a pedophilia and necrophilia themed snuff film.

It hits theaters – in both R and NC-17 formats – on MAY 13th. An unrated version of the film will be released exclusively on FlixFling.com the same day. To follow it on Twitter, click right HERE.
