Looks like more and more supernatural business is transpiring on the telly. It should be a great thing, but unfortunately, most of these shows just don’t inspire much confidence. Like this one.
According to Deadline.com, ABC has just bought a pitch from Cory Goodman (screenwriter of PRIEST) for a series imaginatively titled “Haunted”. Jon Turteltaub (NATIONAL TREASURE 1 & 2) is in line to produce and direct the pilot. Adam Goldworm (“Masters of Horror”) is also producing.
“Haunted” is a supernatural character procedural that follows Jessica Garrity, a paranormal investigator who each week helps the living move on from a spirit that can’t let go.
I never watched “The Ghost Whisperer”, but isn’t this basically the exact same show? Whatever; can’t say I’m extremely interested in this one, unless they cast someone extraordinary in the lead role. And the chances of that happening are fairly slim…
