Jolie in SALT Action!
The good folks over at ComingSoon.net scored a few new images from the set of the upcoming action flick SALT, and while she’s not packing heat or kicking someone’s ass, she is hanging on for dear life on top of a speeding train–hey, that works for me!
In SALT Jolie plays CIA officer Evelyn Salt who swore an oath to duty, honor, and country. When she is accused by a defector of being a Russian sleeper spy, Salt goes on the run to clear her name and ultimately prove she is a patriot. Using all her skills and years of experience as a covert operative, she must elude capture and protect her husband or the world’s most powerful forces will erase any trace of her existence.
Summer block buster fun that could lead some promising action sequences… and, if nothing else, it’ll feature Jolie packing some serious heat, which is always fun in my book. Stick around for more on SALT as we hear it, and click HERE to check out the rest of the set pics!
EXPENDABLES Footage, Tat
& Dolph answers fans!
Over at the unofficial EXPENDABLES blog comes another batch of updates… this batch being one of the coolest that we’ve seen thus far. Why? Cause not only do we have a peak at the killer EXPENDABLES tattoo that the team of manly badasses all share, but some behind of the scenes footage of Sylvester Stallone in action mode!
First up, head THIS WAY to catch all the awesomeness, but particularly the new tattoo (which you can see above). Designed by Stallone himself, the tat will feature a skull and a crow. F*ckin’ A. And just think… 14 of you just decided to go out and get that same tattoo on your forearm before the movie comes out… and I’m one of them.
Then there’s the footage, which you can check out below, from the set in Brazil, featuring Stallone (among others) firing his gun and whatnot. Just check it out for

Willis eyes 3 possible action flicks!!
Veteran action star and all around badass Bruce Willis is, according to the Risk Biz Blog, considering three different action flicks to star in next. What are they, and which one should he take? Here are some details…
INVENTORY, which will have Willis playing a detective on the trail of a killer.
RED, based on the DC Comic, which has Willis playing a former black-ops agent who has gone into retirement but is forced back into action when a high-tech assassin comes a-callin’ to threaten him and his girlfriend.
SCARPA, from TEARS OF THE SUN director Antoine Fuqua, in which Willis would be playing an FBI informant who worked deeply undercover in New York’s Columbo family.
If Willis listened to me about the roles he plays (which he doesn’t), then I’d tell him to go for RED, simply cause it sounds way more badass than the other two and because it sounds way more interesting. Plus, it’s based on a comic, so it’s probably better (or at least more fun) than the other two, which frankly, sound quite boring.
Word on the street is that Willis’s very next project will be the action comedy A COUPLE OF DICKS and the adaptation of the video game KANE & LYNCH. To check out the full scoop, click HERE and pray for RED. That has Wilils written all over it…
ICARUS Trailer!
We’ve been following the new pics and the behind the scenes footage from the Dolph Lundgren directorial / star effort ICARUS for awhile now, and today… today we have the payoff, as the brand spankin’ new trailer has hit the Net, and boy is it sweeeet!
Lundgren fans everywhere are about to bust a load after watching the trailer below… to get ya flogged a little longer, here’s what ICARUS is all about: There were those who called him Icarus. Everyone else knew him as a divorced father working for an investment company. A regular Businessman….But they didn’t know his other side, his true side… his Dark Side… He must fight to save the only thing he’s ever done right in his life. He needs to uncover who is after him and protect his family… before it’s too late.
F*ckin’ A Dolph, you kick that ass, yo! The new trailer rocks plenty of arsenal, fists, and fighting like you would expect from the man who once beat the snot out of Sly Stallone. Enough to hold us over until THE EXPENDABLES? Oh, I think so… enjoy!
G.I. JOE Trailer Hits!
I never thought the day would come when a PG-13 G.I.JOE movie looked awesome, but here we are… the unveiling of the G.I. JOE: RISE OF THE COBRA trailer! Packed with killer special effects and a shitload of action, this may be the late summer action flick to keep tabs on!
Director Stephen Sommers knows how to put an entertaining action flick together (just look at THE MUMMY), and it looks like he’s operatiing at full form on this one! The Super Bowl trailer did nothing for me, but this… this looks cool as hell!
