Six of the planned eight After Dark Originals hit theaters last weekend. As you may recall, two of them – SCREAM OF THE BANSHEE and AREA 51 – were pulled at the last minute to play on Syfy instead.

We already knew that AREA 51 would hit the small screen on February 26th. Now it has been announced that SCREAM OF THE BANSHEE will premiere on Syfy on Saturday, March 26th at 9PM (EST) with an encore presentation at 11PM.

When a college Professor opens up a strange, ornate box discovered in the basement of a University, she and her students hear a horrifying scream belonging to that of a bloodthirsty banshee. They think nothing of it, until that scream begins to haunt all that heard it in strange and surreal ways. According to Irish lore, if you hear a Banshee scream, you will die – which is what starts happening to them one by one, as the creature starts taking their lives…

The film is directed by Steven C. Miller (AUTOMATON TRANSFUSION) and written by Anthony C. Ferrante (BOO). It stars Lauren Holly (below, DUMB & DUMBER) and Lance Henriksen (ALIENS).
