AITH RECOMMENDS: Clive Barker’s Midnight Meat Train starring Bradley Cooper

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

AITH RECOMMENDS PREAMBLE: Netflix has a bad habit of dropping awesome genre movies onto its streaming service, but not promoting the releases on the home page or anywhere of note. Instead, we get endless posters featuring stand-up comics shrugging while holding microphones. Anyway, I do these recommends to let you know when cool new genre shite hits. Someone has to.

I have already let you guys know that A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, GREMLINS, and ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK have recently hit Netflix, but today I want to go ahead a recommend yet another classic flick that recently hit the streaming service you might not be aware of.

Clive Barker's THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN is now available on Netflix.

For those who may not have seen the movie because of, let's say, the title (heard this excuse too many times) you need to check it out asap as I guarantee you will dig the absolute f*ck out of it. Maybe not the ending… but the rest of the film is 100% grade-A badass.

If you're not opposed to ONE KILL being spoiled, click HERE to see one of the most spectacular death scenes I have ever witnessed. If that gif doesn't seal the deal for you, nothing will. And that is not even the best death featured in the brutally gory flick!

THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN rundown via Wikipedia:

The Midnight Meat Train is based on Clive Barker's 1984 short story, which can be found in his collection BOOKS OF BLOOD: VOLUME ONE. The film follows a photographer who attempts to track down a serial killer dubbed the "Subway Butcher", and discovers more than he bargained for under the city streets.

MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN was directed by Ryuhei Kitamura and stars Bradley Cooper, Leslie Bibb (see below), Brooke Shields, Roger Bart, Ted Raimi, and Vinnie Jones. Its script was adapted by Jeff Buhler.
