Indie horror movie actor extraordinaire AJ Bowen (HOUSE OF THE DEVIL, THE SIGNAL, HATCHET 2) has joined the cast of SUN DON’T SHINE, which is being directed by his HORRIBLE WAY TO DIE co-star Amy Seimetz. Kate Lyn Sheil, Kit Gwin, Mark Reeb and Kentucker Audley round out the cast.

Finding out much about the plot is futile (all Variety allows is that it’s about “a couple on a mysterious Florida road trip”), but I dug this up on the flick’s official site, for what it’s worth:

The plot is top secret, but in a nut shell, it’s about two people on the road in Florida doing very bad things. Shot on Super 16mm, the film is inspired by “Two-Lane Blacktop”, “Deliverance”, “Woman Under the Influence” and reoccurring nightmares.

Interesting mix of films right there; color us intrigued. Production is taking place in Florida.
