‘Twas two weeks ago that we heard the news that Paul Davis (BEWARE THE MOON: REMEMBERING AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON) was embarking on a narrative feature called SILENT NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, a zombie thriller set in England. Details were fairly scarce at the time, but some casting news – and a promo poster, which you can see below – have just jumped up; both things should get you horror fiends plenty psyched for the ghoulish project.
Via ShockTillYouDrop we learn that AJ Bowen (HOUSE OF THE DEVIL, HATCHET II; pictured above) and make-up genius Tom Savini (FROM DUSK TIL DAWN) have joined SILENT NIGHT, and will play father and son. Two great men with great facial hair – I can see the resemblance.
As for the flick itself, it’s about a group of locals who hole up in a West Sussex high school on Christmas Eve and have to fend off zombies.
SILENT NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD will come out – if the poster is to be believed – during the holiday season in 2013.
